June has lived in Woodley for 30 years. She served as a Labour Councillor in the ‘90s and currently works for a telecoms company. With two young grandchildren and a dad in his 80s, June is aware of the challenges of coping with family life today and is deeply saddened by the need for a food bank in Woodley. June says “there is a wonderful community spirit in Woodley and our local council has a key part to play in ensuring that the services we value and hold dear are maintained for everyone’s benefit.”
